I’m going for my Mathematics AYA, but all the content areas have the same component parts so this visual calculator should work for everyone.
I thought it would be nice to have a way to look at your National Board Scores visually. This seems particularly helpful to me if you have to retake a component or have only completed some components. You can enter your scores and play around with the other scores to see what you need to score to pass. Unfortunately we don’t know what overall score we need yet to pass the NB certification. (Link to Desmos graph is below.) Your total score will show up on the left next to – T.
All the scores start at 1 and if you scroll down the left side you can find a slider to change each score for each component. Because component 1 has multiple parts you’ll need to enter each part separately. If you want to bypass this, you can find the “a” and enter a=____ what ever score you want. Be careful, the average score on your score report for component 1 is not the correct weighted score needed for your overall score. So, it would be best to just enter each score.
